This event will explore some of the challenges facing women in the workplace in Ireland today, including limited access to affordable, accessible childcare and the rise of precarious work. The discussion explore at the important difference in what is meant by 'flexibility' as opposed to 'insecurity' and also look at the opportunities for promotion of decent work and greater participation for women. Panelists will also focus on European engagement with these issues and the important role of unions in collective organisation.
