You are warmly invited to the opening of Still, We Work in Limerick on Monday 12 October, see you there!
We are delighted that Suzanna Griffin, NWCI Board Member will open the exhibition in Limerick. Suzanna is also a member of SIPTU Equality Committee and the Irish Congress of Trade Unions' Women's Committee.
For the first time, the artworks are being installed in different buildings, each with a connection to aspects of the artists' commissioned projects and the original research and development of the 'legacy project': Dance Limerick, Limerick City Gallery of Art and The Hunt Museum.
This is the last part of the tour. To mark the occasion, Valerie Connor will talk about the original thinking and research that went into the project's development and her early conversations with NWCI staff and members. She will reflect on the artists' early research ideas and how the artists' have talked about them since.
Valerie will be speaking and showing slides from 3pm, followed by the launch and Suzanna's formal opening remarks as part of a celebratory reception at 4pm at Dance Limerick.
